The Floating Face

The blur of the sea
has settled in the corners of my eyes
The flimsy homes that swayed on its waves
The light it rejected back to the world

Amongst shells, stones and silhouettes
of things I would never know the names of
There was a face, settled on the water
Calmly moving with the rhythm of the beast
